Transport
In the transport sector, the city relies on the near Enna, especially for rail links, being now deprived of its own station, and bus, being right in the town nearest the terminal connected by road to regional, national and international managed by companies SAIS Bus and Interbus SpA, both of Enna.
Piazza Armerina is however well served in terms of road network for those coming from the main town in the middle of the 'highway A19, the release being that of Enna;
- must therefore take the State Road 561 to Pergusina Pergusa, take a short stretch of State Road 117 Central Sicilian, which is named after a short SP Tourist, serving in fact the two major archaeological sites in the province of Enna.
- Who runs the 'motorway from Catania's convenience to exit at Whirlpool.
- From the south, however, there has always relied on a SS177, which connects Piazza in Gela, Caltagirone for the SS417 and SP15 to Barry.
Piazza Armerina was equipped with a railway station and a depot where locomotives were stationed locomotives and railcars RALn.60 Group R370. Today the station is that of Enna, for passenger traffic, and Dittaino for freight and passenger traffic, which is only 20 minutes from Piazza Armerina.
