Climate of Piazza Armerina

The low altitude of the mountains, and the geographical coordinates (37' 23'13 "20 N latitude) combine to make a town square with a Mediterranean climate, if only for the placement of the refrigerant inside the capillary and forest cover, factors which determine a typical Mediterranean climate continentalized, characteristic of almost all the Enna province.

The latter is characterized by continental influences due to the distance from the sea, and while not the altitude of the plain, certainly mitigated, however, the low latitude. By virtue of this, Piazza Armerina is included in a temperate zone D, immediately prior to that in which it appears Enna, which means that the power of heating is normally allowed for 12 hours a day (2 less than in town), from October 15 to 15 April.
